Worst. President. Ever.

I'm late getting to this story due to a long day at the office but ...

I think every American should put themselves in the shoes of the New Yorkers who today relived the horrors of September 11, 2001, when the low-flying Air Force One photo-op buzzed the Manhattan skyline (see
Memeorandum). The first video shows the tremendously horrifying immediacy of the flyover :

For a news report, check the Wall Street Journal's coverage, with the apt title, "A 'Classified' Photo Op Turns Into a Soaring Blunder for the White House: Mission to Get Beauty Shots of Presidential Jet at Statue of Liberty Panics 9/11-Wary New York."

As the story indicates, "the photo shoot looked like a terrorist attack."

I have to say: This is one hundred times worse than "Mission Accomplished."

Indeed, Barack Obama is the Worst. President. Ever.

The whole nightmare never should have happened, but the administration has apologized, so credit where it's due: "White House Apologizes for Air Force Flyover."

Lots of commentary at
Memeorandum. See, especially, JammieWearingFool, "The 100 Daze Celebration: Bumbling Submorons Apologize for NYC Flyover."

Yes.

Worst. President. Ever?

No. He's still in Texas.

Obama's effing stupid, Tim. And all you can do is attack Bush.

This president is on the way down...this president, man...G.W.B is out, unfortunately. The Dems are ruining the country, and it's only been a little over 100 days.

Good luck selling that meme...

Unless there's any pictures of President Obama piloting the plane, or at least waving out one of the windows as it passes by the buildings, thinking people will demand answers for the stupid stunt, and will learn that the President was as surprised and angered by the thing as everyone else.

There's a good bit of blame to go around, including some for folks who work in the White House, but linking this to Obama in any substantive way, or suggesting that much of anyone outside of the right wing spin machine is going to believe that this trumps (or even compares with) seeing President Bush standing in front of that "Mission Accomplished" banner while troops were still fighting and dying, is going to be a bit of a stretch... ...if not pure ODS.

Mr Dumbass Teleprompter fool has said that he has "dressed down" the morons that planned and executed this retarded stunt.

And the morons that STILL whine about their BDS buffoonery, I have this to say. It must REALLY suck that, according to the libtards, the dumbest and worst President ever BEAT the libtards on EVERY turn on EVERY issue.

Doesn't say much for the libtards, does it? And we are to except their dhimmitude and "udder" stupidity?

Ain't gonna happen. I didn't lose body parts in the war to accept a Marxist's BS.

Donald: From what I've gathered, this had nothing directly to do with Obama. Should someone's head be on the line? Yes, the person who said that all the emergency services should be notified, but not the City of New York. This was a dumb, unnecessary blunder.

I didn't mention G.W.B., btw. You said worst president ever, not me.

Donald, your anger exemplifies the Obama derangement going on right now. It's bordering on lunacy for you and your 20%. Get a grip man.

Don't even try to tell me Obama did not know about this ahead of time. It was one of the two 747's used for friggin' Air Force One, for crying out loud. Neither of those planes budges without the knowledge of the POTUS.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that he planned it himself. After all, its all about HIM.

Its okay, though, because the thoroughly corrupt, Obama-loving MSM will be sure and cover his ass for him, just as they did when he was off playing golf when the swine flu "crisis" was unfolding over the weekend, and about a hundred other things they have ignored/slanted/burried/lied about for him over the last two years.

Can you imagine the hell the lefty MSM would have rained down on the head of GWB, or any other republican POTUS, if they had done that?>

Chrissy Mathews would have had a baby fer sure, and Rachel Madcow would have been spinning on her eyebrows!

They will be carving Jihad Jimmy's toothy grin into the face of Mt. Rushmore before Obama leaves office, because he is going to make Jimmy look just that good.

I'll go along with it being an incredibly stupid stunt. But, it amazes me that it's going to take decades to analyze the brilliance that was the Bush administration, and you can pass judgment on Obama's at 100 days in.

Speaking of photos, the ones of Bush playing guitar and handing the cake to McCain while New Orleans was drowning are worth 1000words.

You know, I don't think much of Barack Hussein Obama either, but it's kind of difficult to take seriously a statement that he is the worst president even just three months into his administration.

This is the kind of stuff our friends on the left used against George Bush, and you'd almost certainly never have written what you did were it not for the meme our friends on the left tried to employ over the last eight years.

Besides, Mr Obama simply hasn't had the time to be worse than Jimmy Carter yet. Give him a chance, and he might yet be able to beat our 39th President.

I don't believe that the average Democrat approached Bush's presidency hoping he would be an utter disaster. Sure, there were hard feelings over the doings in Florida and the Supreme Court, possibly for good reason. It wasn't until Iraq (seen as an unnecessary war) and Katrina that Dems really turned on Bush.

On the other hand, people on the right have been carping about everything Obama has done since he took office. Flying those planes over NYC was incredibly stupid, but worst prez ever for it, not yet. I can imagine the salivation that must have taken place when you saw the story.

I'll reserve worst prez ever for after Obama has started an unnecessary war and failed to interrupt his vacation while a major city drowns.

Dana and DLB: I'd like to correct you guys on one little thing...Obama has been blamed for anything and everything since he was elected, not after he took offie.

The 100 Days thing is B.S. When the economy started tanking last year -- before Obama had even moved to D.C -- he was being blamed. Limbaugh started the Obama failure meme when Bush was still president. Remember, this was "Obama's economy."

People like Donald are suffering the same derangement that made Clinton hating and baiting the biggest thing since Dukes of Hazzard.

And the script was just as lame then as it is now.

The Vegas Art Guy said...

DLB, I ran into fellow college students in 2003 who still believed with their heart and soul that Bush stole the 2000 election. And if I remember correctly Tim in 2000 when Bush did take office and the right was still complaining about Clinton they were told to move on and get over it, that Clinton was out of office and all that. Take your own advice please...

Tim, the media advertised Mr. Obama as a Messiah in all but name.

All we're doing is holding him to the advertised specifications.

Rich: I don't know about you, but when I see Obama, the halo is clearly visible. May want to check your glasses or contacts.

VAG, I don't think Bush stole the election, I think he had it handed to him. And what was the right's complaint about Clinton, the budget surpluses or the fact that the Clenis was getting more than they were?

"But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor's office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out."

The Obama Admin KNEW what would result from this ignorant stunt, then made THREATS.

"The NYPD was so upset about the demand for secrecy that Police Commissioner Ray Kelly vowed never to follow such a directive again and he accused the feds of inciting fears of a 9/11 replay."

Good for PC Kelly. Someone willing to make a decision.

And, unfortunately, a continuing exemplar of this administration.
